Walking, it’s one of the simplest things you can do to stay in shape; however there is so much more to a walk then just the act. If you allow yourself more awareness of your surroundings you can discover a whole new world around you. I see so many of my fellow walkers, ear buds in the ears and looking down as they trek through their 10,000 steps a day. They are missing the special things that make nature so amazing! I know, you just don’t have time, you have a lot on your mind, you have your goal and you just want to get it done. However, maybe you can do yourself a favor, stop… look… listen… smell… and discover. Being around nature can reduce stress, help with creativity and give you that sense of deep happiness that we all crave. So go out and take a walk… and absorb nature around you!
