Silence, it is a necessity that is becoming rarer in the vastly moving society we live in today.
Everywhere you are on the go there is noise, construction and city noise that drills into the very core of your mind and body, disturbing them into exhaustion. There are cell-phones ringing, emails pinging and tweets twittering. There is noise all around us. We deal with it so often now that most of the time we barely notice it’s there… until…
Until… you are taken away from the noise and are able to experience that complete and rare event called…. Silence!
You must look for it, everyday of your life, in all that you do. You must look for it. Without silence, life is less full.
How can you hear nature? How can you hear the sound of your own mind thinking, working, and living? How can you function properly without a moment of silence?
And so, I urge each and everyone to seek your time for escape.. whether it be a long walk in the park, a day at the beach or finding your own little hideaway.
For me it’s the Eastern Shore that pulls me away from it all and forces me to discover treasures along the way.
